Sheikhupura, The city named after nickname of Mughal Emperor, Jehangir. The city is easily accessible from Islamabad via Motorway. The fort and Hiran Minar are two famous historic sights of the city, unfortunately almost dead now. The fort is haunted and it is under authority of Government. Photography was not allowed there nor entry of any person without permission, i got chance to enter and discovered there was nothing but ruins of fort and bats, i was told influential people have sold ancient doors of fort. Unfortunately government of Pakistan has done nothing to protect or revive these historical places which could have been great source of income for people of living around, to be honest this is story of nearly all historical monuments in Pakistan. Photography is not allowed at any historical monument around Pakistan but you can do it if you are taking only small camera with you. Any way here are few images for you to enjoy shot around fields and hiran minar, people are friendly and love to pose for camera.
