King City Lahore : I went to Lahore (23-2-2008)for only few hours. Here are few photos of life in Lahore which i could capture in available time. It is huge city and one the most lively city of Pakistan. Full of culture and tons of things to see.These are photos from only "Data Derbar" and "Food Street". Lahore fort photos to come. You need lots of time to see full Lahore. People are very warm. People say "If you haven't seen lahore you are not yet born". Will add details of the photos when gallery is complete

Multan City of Saints : My last stop after Darawar fort and Bhawalpur was Multan (14/15-2-2008) also known as "the city of Saints". There are lots of Tombs in this city. City is in Punjab province and about 700 Km from Islamabad the capital. In the 7th century, Multan was conquered along with Sindh by the army of Muhammad bin Qasim the city was securely under Muslim rule, although it was in effect an independent state.The city was attacked twice by Mahmud of Ghazni who destroyed the Sun Temple and broke its giant Idol. Under the Mughal Empire,Multan enjoyed over 200 years of peace, and became known as Dar al-Aman (Abode of Peace). (Wikipedia) ,Saraiki Language is spoken .I was there for just few hours was not able to wander in whole city hence these photos are shot at only one place known as Kila where famous Rukn-i-Alam and Bahud deen Zakria's tombs are situated.

Darawar Fort Cholistan : The Rohi, or Cholistan, is a barren desert tract, bounded on the north and west by the Hakra depression with ruins of old settlements along its high banks; it is still inhabited by nomads. It is at a distance of 30 km. from Bahawalpur. The word 'Cholistan' is derived from the word 'cholna' which means moving. It covers an area of about 16,000 square km and extends into the Thar Desert of India. The region was once watered by the Hakra River, known as the Saravati in vedic times. At one time there were 400 forts in the area and archaeological finds around the Darawar Fort, the only place with a perennial waterhole. The average annual rainfall is only 12 cm, and the little cultivation is made possible by underground wells, drawn up by the camels. The water is stored in troughs, built by the tribes, between sandhills and din waterholes called tobas. The forts here were built at 29 km intervals, which probably served as guard posts for the camel caravan routes. There were three rows of these forts. the first line of forts began from Phulra and ended in Lera, the second from Rukhanpur to Islamgarh, and the third from Bilcaner to Kapoo. They are all in ruins now, and you can see that they were built with double walls of gypsum blocks and mud. Some of them date back to 1000 BC, and were destroyed and rebuilt many times. Cholistan also boasts of many old forts such as Derawar,Vingrot, Banwar, Marcot, Wilhar, Maujgharh, Mao, Phuira and Din-gharh etc. This whole fort is made of clay and bricks and hight is 30 meters

Lake Saif al Maluk : Saif Al Malook Pakistan one of the most beautiful lakes in Pakistan. It can be reached from Naran Kaghan.Water of lake comes from glaciers around it, the biggest contributing mountain is "Malka Perbat" .Water of the lake flows to Kunhar river. Depth of the lake is unknown due to the fact an underground river opens in it. A famous fairy tale is associated with the lake called "Saif Al Malook". It is beautiful place to visit with lots of beautiful landscapes around. Here are some photos shot in the way of the lake and at the lake.Road from Kaghan to Naran is very good. But road from Naran to Lake is very bumpy !

Lalazar : From Lake Saif Al Malook we went to place called Lalazar, It is beautiful place with greenery and flowers. Extreme apologies for limited photos actually my battery died in the middle and was not able to shoot many scenes. There were lots of flowers and flowerscape the beauty of mountains and flowers together was just awesome. Well track of the jeep is very dangerous Driver should be expert and only small jeeps can take you to Lalazar.

Payaam Charity Show : Payaam foundation basically a charity organization with tons of voluntary staff mostly young people, organized a drawing and music competition for children including special kids and orphans. I was covering the event it was great experience. The theme was independence day of Pakistan kids were excited.

Traveling in Pakistan : Traveling in Pakistan especially in small towns is amazingly fun and adventure. By chance i got opportunity to experience this adventure. I was returning from Cholistan's Darawar fort (pics in galleries). Transport vehicles are scarce. All i could do was to hang on side of the truck as i had to reach small town Ahmed Pur East before sundown from where i got bus back to Bahwalpur. Hanging on the bus was truelly difficult for me and my hands were slipping until one of the locals offered his place to me ! and that was on roof top of driver's cabin. This was when i took my camera out of bag and shot following images regardless of dust and cold breeze and jerks.I shot till journey ended.
